Water Damage: Stop the Leak and Fix the Source

The first job in any water damage situation is stopping the water. That is what we do, quickly, and we help you document it for insurance.

Standing water on a hallway floor

Right now

  • Shut off the main water valve
  • Turn off power to wet areas only if it is safe
  • Move valuables and furniture out of the water
  • Photograph everything before cleanup

What we handle, and what we do not

We find and repair the plumbing source: the burst line, failed supply hose, leaking water heater, or overflowing toilet. We give you an invoice and photos that describe the cause for your insurance claim.

We are plumbers, not a restoration company. If drywall, flooring or cabinets are soaked, they need professional drying within a day or two to prevent mold, and we can point you to restoration companies we trust.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do first when water is coming in?

Shut off the main water valve, turn off power to wet areas if it is safe, move valuables, and photograph everything before cleanup.

Do you do water damage restoration?

We stop and repair the plumbing source. For drying and rebuilding we will point you to a restoration company and coordinate with them.

How fast does mold start?

Mold can begin growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet drywall and carpet pad, which is why stopping the leak and drying quickly matters.

Will insurance cover it?

Sudden, accidental leaks are often covered; long-term leaks usually are not. Photos, dates and the plumber’s invoice help your claim.

Can you find the source of a ceiling stain?

Yes. We trace it to the supply line, drain or fixture above and repair it.
