Garbage Disposal Repair in South Scottsdale, AZ

Jammed, humming, leaking or dead disposals repaired or replaced. Serving Scottsdale from our Queen Creek shop.

Garbage Disposal Repair for Scottsdale homes

Garbage disposals are what Scottsdale homeowners most often contact us about. In south Scottsdale’s older homes, disposals are frequently tied into original drain lines that clog easily, so we check the drain as well as the unit.

Because of the drive, we schedule Scottsdale disposal replacements in advance and bring the replacement unit with us so the job is done in one visit.

Frequently asked questions

My disposal hums but does not spin. What happened?

It is usually jammed. Turn off the power, use the hex key slot underneath to free the flywheel, then press the reset button. If it still hums, the motor may be failing.

Why is my disposal leaking from the bottom?

A leak from the bottom usually means the internal seals have failed, and the unit needs to be replaced. Leaks at the top or side are often just a loose connection.

How long does a garbage disposal last?

Eight to twelve years is typical. Hard water and heavy use shorten that.

Repair or replace?

Jams and loose connections are repairs. A leaking body or a burned-out motor means replacement.

What should never go down a disposal?

Grease, fibrous peels and stalks, coffee grounds, eggshells, pasta and rice, and bones.
